The pillar guide to corporate video production in Melbourne is indexed and already appearing for 46 search terms in its first three weeks. Two of those sit inside the top 20 with no links pointing at the page yet.

⚠ Watch

The cost article pulls the most impressions on the site and converts at 1.4 percent. People reading about price are close to buying, so that page carries the most upside once the showreel sits above the enquiry form.

→ Action

Nothing on the site shows moving footage above the fold. Add the showreel to the homepage and to the service page. For a video company this is the single change most likely to lift enquiries.

Strategist Commentary

July was the launch month, so there is no June to compare against. Treat these figures as the baseline every month from here gets measured against.

Eleven pages went live and all eleven are indexed. Search Console is returning impressions for 214 distinct queries, which says Google understands what the site is for. Enquiries came in at 19 from 1,146 sessions, a 1.7 percent conversion rate, and that number is honest rather than good. It moves once the video work is visible on the page.

August is about depth. Three suburb-level pages, one case study with real client footage, and the showreel above the fold.

Figures in this report are illustrative sample data.

Work Completed

What We Did This Month

A summary of work completed across all service areas during the reporting period, drawn from the team's project records.

SEO
Hullabaloo Digital

The service page targeting "corporate video melbourne" was published, along with the pillar page for "corporate video production melbourne". The two are deliberately split so they stop competing for the same term. Internal links run from the pillar into the service page, and both were submitted for indexing on publication.

Content
Hullabaloo Digital

One blog post went live on what corporate video costs in Melbourne, written around price ranges rather than a fixed number. It is the highest impression page on the site three weeks after publishing, which confirms cost is the question the market is searching for.

Content Distribution
Hullabaloo Digital

Nine social posts were produced from the cost article, five for Instagram and four for LinkedIn, plus one email newsletter. All are held on the client portal ready to schedule once the social accounts are handed over.

Account Management
Hullabaloo Digital

The July call set the priority order for August: proof first, then coverage. Agreed next steps are the showreel above the fold, one written case study with client permission, and three suburb pages for the inner east.

Strategist Commentary

Almost every visitor in July was a first-time visitor, at 96.2 percent. That is what a launch month looks like and it means there is no returning audience yet to lean on.

The service page is the most efficient page on the site. 196 sessions produced 6 enquiries, a 3.1 percent rate, roughly double the site average. The cost article brings more people but converts at 1.4 percent, and it bounces at 51.2 percent. Readers get their answer on price and leave without seeing any work.

Both pages point at the same fix. Put the showreel where the eye lands first, and put two named client logos next to it.

Strategist Commentary

Everything here is a baseline, because the site had no search presence in June. Search Console shows 214 queries returning impressions and 18,400 impressions in total, all filtered to Australia so the number reflects the market the client actually sells into.

Average position of 28.4 reads worse than it is. Two commercial terms already sit inside the top 20 in month one, and "corporate video cost melbourne" is at 11.2 on the strength of one blog post. The average is dragged down by a long tail of broad terms the site appears for but has no page for yet.

"Video production company melbourne" is the term to watch. 2,905 impressions at position 31.7 means real demand and no page built for it. That is the next pillar.

Strategist Commentary

The listing went live with the site on 1 July, so this is the first month of local data. 1,842 people saw the profile and 1,357 of those came from a search rather than typing the business name in, which means Google is showing the listing to people who do not know the company yet.

31 calls came straight off the listing against 19 enquiries through the website. The phone is outperforming the contact form, and five of those calls went to voicemail outside business hours. Every one of those is a job that went to whoever answered next.

Six reviews at a 5.0 average is a good start and not yet enough to win the map pack. The three studios ranking above us in Melbourne searches sit between 28 and 74 reviews. Reviews are the lever here, and there is a back catalogue of finished clients to ask.

No photos have been added since the listing was verified. For a video company, a profile with two stills and no footage is the weakest version of the pitch.

Both accounts started from zero in July, so every number here is a first. Nine posts went out, five on Instagram and four on LinkedIn, all repurposed from the pricing article.

LinkedIn is carrying this. 7,910 impressions from four posts against 4,570 from five on Instagram, and it sent 83 clicks to the site while Instagram sent 21. That tracks with who buys corporate video. The decision maker is a marketing manager and they are on LinkedIn during work hours.

The pricing posts outperformed everything else. Talking about cost openly is doing the same job on social that it is doing in search.

Instagram needs footage, not graphics. Until the showreel cuts are posted as Reels, that account is competing on a feed built for video with static images.

Two sends to a list of 512 people the client already had, warmed up but never emailed. Open rates of 43.6 and 39.9 percent say that list is worth a lot more attention than it has been getting.

The pricing email beat the briefing email on both opens and clicks. Same pattern as search and social. Cost is the question the market is asking, and answering it plainly is what earns the click.

Two of July's nineteen enquiries traced back to email. From a list this size, that is a good return and the cheapest channel on the report.

One send a fortnight is the right cadence for now. Weekly on a list of 512 burns it.

Next Steps

Recommendations

Prioritised actions for the coming month, ranked by expected impact.

High Priority

Put the showreel above the fold

The homepage and the service page both open with text. A video company has to lead with footage. The service page already converts at 3.1 percent without it, so this is the fastest available lift on the two pages that carry the most commercial traffic.

High Priority

Build the video production company page

2,905 impressions at position 31.7 with no page targeting the term. A dedicated page for "video production company melbourne" gives Google something to rank and keeps it clear of the pillar and the service page, which own their own terms.

Medium Priority

Publish one case study with real client footage

The cost article bounces at 51.2 percent because it answers the question and offers no proof. One case study with a named client, the brief and the finished video gives every page on the site something credible to link to.

Medium Priority

Add three suburb pages for the inner east

The studio is in Elsternwick and none of the current pages mention a suburb. Three pages covering the inner east target searches that carry intent and low competition.

Medium Priority

Run a review request sequence off the Google listing

Six reviews against 28 to 74 for the three studios ranking above us in Melbourne searches. The listing already produced 31 calls in its first month, so the visibility is there and the social proof is not. One short email to every client from the last two years, with the review link, closes most of that gap in a fortnight.

Quick Win

Cut the showreel into Reels

Instagram sent 21 clicks against LinkedIn's 83, because static graphics are competing in a feed built for video. Four fifteen-second cuts from footage that already exists closes that gap without a shoot.

Quick Win

Move email to one send a fortnight

Open rates of 43.6 and 39.9 percent on a list of 512 that had never been emailed. Two sends produced two enquiries. A fortnightly send built off each month's article keeps that going without burning the list.

Next Report

The August report will be delivered in the first week of September. It will show the first month with the showreel in place, whether the cost article holds position 11.2, and the launch performance of the video production company page.
